Spring Banner!

Hello Spring!

I know the weather isn't cooperating, but at least we can make our homes look ready for that time of the year. Winter has lasted longer then most of us want anyway.

Below some up close photo's. Unfortunately the sun was not cooperating today. The letters and birds are painted with inklings and have a nice sparkle when the light catches it.

This was a nice little project making my own little banner. Products are from Prima, Micheals, Authentique, Petaloo.

Here's hoping for better weather!
Thanks for looking.

Dream Forever!

Yay I'm back on the craft train. It's been a busy week and quite honestly it just flew by. Hubby is out of town and I had some social things on the calender. Before you know it, it seriously cuts into your crafting time. Mind you I love having all those social outings. Seems you go without for some time and then it all happens in the same week.

This weeks Mojo sketch at Flying Unicorn was delish. Truly got me inspired. I also love using this photo of the two of us. It was taken during our last trip to Las Vegas. We always have a great time there.

I think most products used on this layout are Prima only thing is the Kaisercraft stamp.

Thanks for looking! Enjoy your weekend.

Box of sentiments!

It's been a crafty couple of days with not a lot to show for. Although I dd manage to finish off this little box. It did take me a while to decorate. It's part of a challenge at Flying Unicorn - Hip to be Square, and i'm quite liking the end result.

As a nice feature I'm managing to go through some of my old stock of papers, which is always a good thing. Over the years I've started piling up quite a lot and am always so in love with the latest lines that I don't even look at what I have stashed away. Little projects like this that require a bit sturdier paper are perfect like the Authentique-Renew paper.

Hope you enjoyed looking, stay warm!

Watch the Waves, toes in the Sand!

Who would have thought that I choose to do a Journal page out of my own free will, hihi. I have to say I'm as much surprised as anyone. Guess it brings back my schooldays. Crafting without the use of photos does have it's advantages occasionally.

Earlier this week one of the wonderful ladies from the Design Team at Flying Unicorn (Denise Jensen) had made a beautiful layout with this Prima Paper line - Seashore and I guess that got me inspired.

Growing up I spent lots of time at the beach back in the Netherlands. In summer we would go there in the summer to swim in the sea for a while. Fun memories.

Thank you for looking! Have a wonderful weekend!

Cute Calender Cards

The latest challenge I participated in on the Flying Unicorn Forums is so super cute. I have a addictive personality so if I'm not careful I'll be making the year in cards. So far I've made 4 of them and all of them are so different.

Pretty much all the same set up, but depending on your papers and raffia it makes it all look completely different.

Thank you for looking!

Art 123 - Inspire Me

My latest experiment with Mixed Media. Still rather new to the whole concept and trying to find my way, but really starting to like it all.

The book is a wonderful chipboard Prima album. Hope to fill it with lots of awesome journal pages. For this cover I used a chippy from Creative Embellishments, a variety of  washy tapes, Prima Graphite texture paste,  Inka Gold, Prima alphas, assorted metal ornaments.

Thank you for looking!

License to SMile!

This week has been a crafty one. Been working on quite a few projects and haven't even posted all of them yet. Some are better then others, but I guess that happens to all of us.
This layout was again a challenge, of course, hihi. Seem to be doing nothing else these days, and why not. They are fun. Can stretch your crafty capabilities and in my case teaches me new stuff every time.
Had a big oops yesterday when a big pot of black ink toppled over my work. Not happy about that. Not this work, but a different one, managed to salvage some of the work, but what a bummer. Especially if your work is coming together really nicely and splosh...... covered in black ink.
For this layout the materials used, paper - Craft&YouDesign. Beautiful, heavy paper, was part of my monthly kit from Flying Unicorn. The Chippy is from 7Dots and the flowers from Prima and Petaloo.

Thank you for looking!

Celebrate! Don't mind if I do!

I just love stretching my craft skills at the moment. Working with gesso and trying different things. As part of a challenge on Flying Unicorn I've been trying to do a couple of layouts with some old stock and without flowers. The papers I used are from BoBunny - The Avenues, Chippies from Creative Embellishments and a Prima thingy. Quite happy with the layering.

I've just started storing my layout in boxes. Some of them are just so thick before I knew it an album was full and really didn't look all that nice in a sleeve (not that a box is the right solution). I'll have to research for a better way.

Hope you all had a wonderful V-day. Thanks for looking!

Live, Love, Life is Good!

Today I've tried something different. Scrapping without using flowers. Not something I normally do. Just love my flowers. First applied a base with paste and strips of paper. When rubbing it with Inka Gold it creates a really nice effect.

Going Back in Time! What makes you Happy!

Looking through some old photos I found this one from a few years ago while in Las Vegas. I used Pion Papers, Creative Embellishments & Petaloo flowers for this layout.

Christmas Layout that Pops

A Christmas Layout I made with Prima Epiphanny papers & Embellies, Petaloo flowers.

My First Post!

I've been thinking about starting a Blog for a while now and I guess it had to happen sometime.

Have a lot of fun doing OTP's and with the latest kit I got from Flying Unicorn I got this teapot. They're so much fun decorating.
