Me xoxo!

Spring is in the air! It's glorious!
Loving the wonderful weather after all this dreary rain. Bring on the sun. Spring doesn't last very long in these parts, so we better enjoy it while we can,
This past Friday I received my happy mail from Flying Unicorn with all the kits I had ordered, and a little bit more, hihi!
It was time to see if Mojo was back to it's working self again. Was a bit lacking this past week. The above layout was the result. WIth a little help from the internet I think we did ok.
The pic is om (hence the title, lol!) when I was about 17-18 months old. We used to live on a tiny housboat. Don't remember any of it and shortly after that we moved, but heard many many stories.
These colors are so beautiful, a perfect match to be used with old sepia pics.

The products used in this layout are, Papers: UHKGallery, Maja design. Flowers: Prima, Petaloo. Embellishments: Dear Lizzy, MME, Tim Holtz. Inks&Mediums: 13@rts, Lindys Stamp Gang, Liquitex, Viva.

Photo Stand

Hello All,
It's finally been some nice weather so it's been time to do some garden work in between working on this little beauty.
Loved using one of my newest stamp sets by Prima with all the circles. Gives it a lovely background without overdoing it. Had some old Blue Fern Chippies I wanted to use and for the rest it was just decorating it with my trusted Prima and Petaloo flowers and voila!
For the skeleton leaves I used the Prima die as well.
Here's to more of these wonderful spring days!

Sisters!

Hello Scrappy Peeps & Fans!

A final update, and a whopper it is. Hihi, ok I'm bragging a little.
It's part of a challenge for Flying Unicorn for the Mojo Monday and because I was really happy with it I also entered it in the Mixed Media Challenge for this month.

The burlap canvas came from Wal-Mart, the little frame-Michael's. Flowers-Prima & Petaloo, Chippie is old from way back when we lived in Australia. Flying Unicorn adornments.

Hope we can say goodbye to the rain soon! Happy scrapping!

Thanks for looking!

You Are Delightful!

Sorry for the photo not being completely straight, it happens! Hihi!

This is the second layout I made using a design by Delaina Burns. The Ustream show was so cute. It was a different way of scrapping again and totally fitting for some old pics.

Sometimes I worry that I run out of photo's, good thing that I still have boxes to go through if I feel recent ones don't fit the requirements.

Papers are from Simple Stories - Summer Fresh.

Thank you for looking.

Mini Album

Wow, It's been quite the week! Busy busy busy! Finally time to put some of my work on my blog.

I made this little album from the Flying Unicorn March kit for my best friend's birthday. She loved it! It brought some sunshine to a rather gloomy week here in the Houston area. Way too much rain.

The paper is Authentique, Flowers-Prima & Petaloo.

Live, Laugh, Play!

Happy Leprechaun day!

It's an extra special day today at our house, DD is turning 20. Oh my how time flies. I should have made a layout about her instead the layout I'm posting has a picture of my son from years ago. He's 22 now and if I'm not mistaken this photo is from 1999 so he was a the sweetest little boy. Of course I say that. He's my son, wink wink.  One thing is clear, time just goes way too fast. Now he's at College and I don't see him enough.

This layout is made after a design from Delaina Burns. She did this delightful show on Ustream for Flying Unicorn. She used one of the latest Simple Stories Paper packs. Since I didn't have that one but really wanted to try out the clean look of her layout I dug through my stash and found an older Simple Stories line -Summer Fresh. I had to look around for a few other items but all in all I think the layout turned out quite nicely. A total different look then I've been doing lately.

Hope everyone is enjoying the change of weather! I sure am!
Thanks for looking! Happy Crafting!

Love '67

Hello Scrappy Peeps!

As you can see from these pics, we actually had some sun! How wonderful that was! So missed as well, since we had days and days and days of rain.
The one nice day was instantly used to do some chores around the house. I can at least say that half the driveway is now pressure washed! Let's hope I can continue and finish this job.

On a scrappy note. This layout is the result of a challenge on Flying Unicorn. 17 This or That choices resulting in this layout. Pheww that was quite the challenge. This was my second try. Wasn't too convinced about the first one.
Not using store bought flowers is not my thing, had to figure out to make some myself and making paper ones is not my strong suit. Lace & trim was the way to go.
The Paper used is Prima-Timeless Memories, Chippy-Creative Embellishments.
The photo is me as a tot back in 1967. My Uncle did a whole photo shoot  of me, which is kinda nice. Heading towards the big 5-0 this summer. Man time flies.

Thanks for looking! Have a scrappy time!

Hello Wednesday!

It's been a few days since my latest post. That's what you get when your husband comes home from 2 weeks overseas. Wink wink!
Did scrap but taking photo's outside when it's miserable outside does nothing for your work. Even with this piece it would be popping a bit better with some sunshine. Alas, the sun just does not won't play long  today. Before long we'll probably complain about the humidity and other weather issues. For now this Winter has not been a kind one. Ha, and that's coming from someone living in one of the southern states. Looking at what the other people are suffering through. Brrrr. It's just to hard to imagine.

For this layout I used parts of the March kit from Flying Unicorn and lots of Prima flowers.

Yellow overload!

This week I've been working with the March Kit from Flying Unicorn. I've chosen to do some scraplifting since the ladies at the design team had done an amazing job at showing us what we could do with this wonderful kit.
The top two and bottom two photo's are my versions of a lift done by Keren Tamir. I've admired her work for quite a while now.
For the top layout I toned down the yellow a little around the photo and chose different papers. I also worked the chippie a little different. Like the look of it.

The second layout is done after a photo I had in my archive and I made several changes to it and it's now in a completely different color scheme.

This last layout is another lift from Keren Tamir. Had to change up some things since I had used the papers already that she's used and didn't have the flowers that she had or the stencil, but all in all I think the layout came together quite well.
Toning down the yellows suits me better I think.

The weather has been crazy this week, We went from cool weather to suddenly 80 degrees back to 50 degrees overnight. So glad hubbie is on his way home, Yay!!!

Thanks for checking in!

I Love You - Toujour!!

A new month, so some wonderful new challenges at Flying Unicorn. When picking my papers I was either colorblind or the colors are just not coming across the screen on the pictures. It's more blue IRL, but since we're going through a cloudy, dreary weather spell at the moment. These photo's just have to do.
While skyping this morning I showed hubbie the layout and he mentioned that this is one of the few of just him on his own. Ha, did not even realize that. Thought I'd done plenty. Guess I'll have to go through my albums to check on that one. Surely there must be more.
Materials used on this layout: papers-Kaisercraft, flowers-Prima, Petaloo, Chippies-Creative Embellishments & Assorted bling.
Also, it's time to start playing with the new Flying Unicorn Kit. It's yummie again. Time to get my scrap on!
